Payment for public transportation via phone balance in Kazakhstan is now possible without any additional fees.

Users are required to present their electronic ticket on their phone to control service staff or the driver for fare verification.

The electronic ticket remains valid until reaching the final stop and can be found in the "Active Tickets" section. Previous electronic tickets can be viewed in the "Transit Details" section.

By paying for the transportation service, users of "SMSBUS" agree to comply with SMSBUS service terms. These terms can be reviewed at https://smsbus.kz.

Reasons for payment failures from your phone balance may include:

• The number is corporate;
• Unsettled security deposit;
• No balance top-up since the number purchase;
• Unused starting balance;
• SIM card replaced within 24 hours before payment.

Passengers have the option to create a virtual transport card within the application for free. Self-registration is available for regular and student virtual transport cards. To open other discounted virtual cards, one must visit the company's office with confirming documents.

The virtual transport card can be recharged using the card number directly within this mobile application or through other apps such as Kaspi Bank, Halyk Bank (homebank), etc.

The app uses these system permissions:

1. Camera - for scanning QR codes, to enable QR scan button functionality.
2. Location - for accurate display of city/town maps, automatic bus detection for ease of fare payment (detection of passenger and bus GPS location codes), route planning from passenger location to destination. Destination and departure points can be indicated on the map or entered as text addresses. The route planning algorithm also includes transfers.
